முப்பத்து மூவர் அமரர்க்கு முன் சென்று
கப்பம் தவிர்க்கும் கலியே துயில் எழாய்
செப்பம் உடையாய் திறல் உடையாய் செற்றார்க்கு
வெப்பம் கொடுக்கும் விமலா துயில் எழாய்
செப்பென்ன மென் முலை செவ்வாய் சிறு மருங்குல்
நப்பின்னை நங்காய் திருவே துயில் எழாய்
உக்கமும் தட்டொளியும் தந்து உன் மணாளனை
இப்போதே எம்மை நீராட்டேலோர் எம்பாவாய்!

முப்பத்து முக்கோடி தேவர்களுக்கு துன்பம் வருவதற்கு முன்னமே எழுந்தருளி அவர்களின் நடுக்கத்தை நீக்கி அருள வல்ல மிடுக்கையுடைய கண்ண பிரானே!படுக்கையினின்றும் எழுந்தருள்; பக்தர்களை ரக்ஷிப்பதில் ஸ்திரமாக இருக்கும் தன்மையை உடையவனே; பகைவர் மண் உண்ணும் படியான வலிமையை உடையவனே! சத்ருக்களுக்கு பயமாகிற ஜுரத்தை கொடுக்க வல்ல பரிசுத்த ஸ்வபாவனே! நீ துயில் எழாய்; பொற் கலசம் போன்ற விரஹம் பொறாத முலைகளையும் சிவந்த வாயையும் நுண்ணிதான இடையையும் உடைய நப்பினைப் பிராட்டியே! ஸ்ரீமஹாலக்ஷ்மியே! துயில் எழாய்; துயிலெழுந்த பின்பு நோன்புக்கு உபகரணமான ஆலவட்டத்தையும் விசிறியையும் கண்ணாடியையும் உனக்கு வல்லபனான கண்ணபிரானையும் கொடுத்து, விரஹத்தால் மெலிந்த எங்களை இந்த க்ஷணத்திலேயே நிராட்டக் கடவாய்!

The Divine Competition:

Even though ~Nappinnai was rebuked, seeing the plight of gOpikAs she is moved and walked towards the doors to open them. Sri KrishNA thought if at all ~Nappinnai does that then it might sound like She is considering Sri KrishNA's devotees to be Hers. Moreover seeing ~Nappinnai's attitude towards them, He stands chance of loosing His devotees too. So He rushed before She reached to the doors, lifted Her literally and threw Her on the bed with Him. The touch was so pleasant for both of them that they forgot the poor gOpikAs waiting outside.

Our commentators give an excellent meaning to this situation. They say, this divine couple compete to look after the welfare of all of us. Hence we need not actually worry about anything at all. In fact there cannot be a cause for concern at all. Our duty is just to accept and hail their protection.

AnDAL hails KrishNA in this song singing His mighty deeds of killing the asurAs and thereby wiped fear from the minds of the dEvAs. But on the contrary now by making us wait like this you are going to loose all your reputation earned thus. Nevertheless, AnDAL says, "We are not asking you for any of those heroic deeds like to fight with hiranyA or rAvanA. Unlike other devottes, we are not here to ask you to grant us any other boon. All that we want is to serve you. Please grant that to us.
