உங்கள் புழக்கடை தோட்டத்து வாவியுள்
செங்கழுநீர் வாய்நெகிழ்ந்து ஆம்பல் வாய் கூம்பின காண்
செங்கல் பொடிக்கூரை வெண்பல் தவத்தவர்
தங்கள் திருக்கோவில் சங்கிடுவான் போகின்றார்
எங்களை முன்னம் எழுப்புவான் வாய் பேசும்
நங்காய் எழுந்திராய் நானாதாய் நாவுடையாய்
சங்கொடு சக்கரம் ஏந்தும் தடக்கையன்
பங்கயக் கண்ணானைப் பாடேலோர் எம்பாவாய்!

இத்திருப்பாவையின் உரை!

உங்கள் வீட்டுப் புழைக்கடைத் தோட்டத்தில் இருக்கின்ற தடாகத்திலுள்ள செங்கழுநீர் பூக்களானவை விசாசிக்க, ஆம்பல் மலர்களின் வாய் மூடி போயிற்று; காவிப் பொடியில் தோய்ந்த வஸ்திரங்களையும் வெளுத்த பற்களையும் உடையராய் தபஸ்விகளாயிருந்துள்ள சந்யாசிகள், தமது திருக்கோயில்களைத் திறவுகோல்(சாவி) இட்டுத் திறக்கைக்காக போகா நின்றனர்; எங்களை முந்தி வந்து எழுப்புவதாக சொல்லிப்போன நங்கையே! சொன்ன படி எழுப்பவில்லையே! என்னும் வெட்கம் இல்லாதவளே; இனிய பேச்சு பேச வல்ல நாவைப் படைத்தவளே! சங்கையும் சக்கரத்தையும் தரியா நின்றுள்ள விசாலமான திருக்கைகளை உடையவனும் தாமரைப் போல் கண்ணானுமான கண்ணபிரானை பாடுகைக்கு எழுந்திரு!

The specialty of her tongue:

This pAsuram is dedicated to a girl who is famous for her rhetoric skills. She has promised to wake the other girls early that day, but has fallen asleep comfortably. Though the other gOpikA's could not take it easily, they could not shout back at her because her presence in the group is inevitable cause her speech as said earlier was powerful enough to make Krishna fall fall for it. Moreover, AnDAL as discussed earlier did not want to miss even a single girl. She wanted all possible people to fall sake for the Lords grace. If at all she starts singing describing the beauty of Sri KrishnA bearing the discus and conch, He is sure to soften and grace them all.

Praise Him to serve the purpose:

AnDAL finally asks the gOpikA to use her tongue to sing the praise of the beautiful lotus eyed God. She says that is the purpose you were given the tongue for, don't use them to tatse delicious food, that will never serve the real purpose.
